First Inventors offers virtual prototype design services for inventors. Inventors typically use a virtual prototype to present their invention to prospective manufactures, customers and investors.
A virtual prototype design consists of designing and producing a computer generated realistic virtual representation of your invention. The presentation usually comprises a rendered 3D SolidWorks model which can be viewed on a computer screen and rotated around three axes to view the prototype from any angle.
Our virtual design services include mechanical, electrical and printed circuit designs. We use the industry leading virtual design and manufacturing software including Cadence (circuit and printed circuit designs) and SolidWorks (mechanical design).
Additionally, the computer-generated virtual prototype data may be used by outside vendors to manufacture a physical prototype for product validation. These manufacturers typically provide traditional machining services including mill and lathe work, and 3D printing of plastic prototypes in a variety of materials.
